Past Month

Wow I can not believe that February has already come and gone. A lot has happened in the past month. Brayden turned 8 months on Saturday, he is getting so big and becoming so independent. His hair is lighting up and I am pretty sure he is going to have blond hair, even though his eyebrows and eye lashes are red, so maybe red. His hair is getting really long and needs to be cut, Will wants to take him somewhere and I laughed and I said he was getting his hair cut this time at Casa de MaMa ;) We recently rearranged the living room so now Brayden has more access to things he goes in his room and plays by himself for a little bit and then comes out and plays in the living room. This is great because I can get a lot done. It just makes me sad because he is not my little baby anymore. He also has started wanting to help me feed him....it is such a mess but I know he has to learn. He is starting to drink his milk out of a sippy cup, he drinks it well but complains, but as long as I stick with it I am sure he will be fine without the bottle. We also have a new addition to our family......Will bought him a dog, not my idea. The dogs name is TEX and thank goodness it is really really good. He is a puppy Red Healer mix with black mouth curr. Will also got the dog for himself because it is a great hunting breed. But the dog is really really good with Brayden he lets him climb on him and pull his ears and he just lays there...Brayden thinks this is hysterical. But all in all it was a great month.

Not a very patient kid....I have no idea
where he gets that from ;)

Yikes look at the mess!!!
Looking for his dog
Right before he tried to put the dog
in his mouth....gross

What a Day!!!

So this morning started out just like every other morning Brayden waking up at 7:00 him eating, playing for a little bit and back down by 8:30, except today I am not feeling very good at all....actually I feel horrible. Brayden woke back up at 10:00 like normal, but here is where it gets bad. His teeth are hurting very very very bad today. I have given him medicine, his teething tabs, even a frozen grape in the teether thing my sister gave him (which he didn't like I figured out by throwing it at my head) Well on top of me not feeling well, I have him whining pulling on me getting in my lap then figuring out that is not what he wants then going around around and around with him. Finally I am able to get him to fall asleep for his first real nap of the day at 3:45 to be woken up by the stupid dog, my husband had to get for him, barking at 4:00. Well it is now 4:30 I have gotten him to lay back down the dog is dead..well not really but he is locked up in the kitchen, and I am going to try to lay down before I start on dinner. You know this probably would just be a normal day but because I don't feel well it seems more dramatic lol. Oh well there is always tomorrow.

Great Weekend!!!!!!

This weekend we went to college station for my nieces 4th birthday. I can not believe that she is already 4 she is soo big and soo beautiful and smart and I can not wait to see the women she will grow to become. It was a busy weekend but we had so much fun......Anthony was great with Brayden he shared all his toys and when we were leaving church on sunday he had fallen asleep in the nursery, but kept saying baby...he was making sure Brayden was with us leaving awww it melted my heart, I know those two boys are going to grow up to be great friends!!!! And Anthony is the funniest little boy I have ever met. Will recently shaved his head, well Anthony saw when Will took his hat off and kept saying BALL and pointing to Wills head LOL it was great. We went to Chuck E Cheese on Sunday and welll my husband had a blast lol. as well as all the other grown boys that were there. And I am pretty sure the birthday girl had a great time she had a lot of tickets from all the games the guys were playing. I am sooo blessed to have my family and am soo glad that my kids are going to be soo close in age to Christi's kids, they are great together Alexis didn't even mind Brayden helping her open her presents..what a great little girl. There will never be a dull moment in our family and I can not wait to see what the future holds for all of our family.

When all else fails......

Take him outside...well Brayden was not letting me get things done around here anyways so I figured he loves being outside when Grandmom takes him to Aunt Maria's tennis match. It was really really funny though he liked being in the grass but he would not put his knees done so he was crawling around on his hands and feet. Well it worked I was able to distract him for and hour outside, and now he is sleeping away :)

He was watching all the cars go by

Oh boy here we go

So Yesterday I noticed that Brayden was whining a lot more then usual, but I figured that it was just because he was tired....Oh but how I was wrong. So today we were at the Dr. office and he had just woke up from being a sleep in the car and I noticed that when he reaches for something and I don't let him have it he whines.I mean I know he obviously can not talk but oh my does the whining get old. It just makes me think about all the times I heard my sister telling her kids use your words, I don't understand whining. So on that note I have no idea what I am suppose to do to get him to stop, without giving in to him. It would be soo much easier if he could just understand me. So on that note if anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them.
